They might be one of the new kids on the block, but Clearwater Brewing Company is quickly developing a dedicated group of followers.

CBC opened their doors in a converted gas station in 2019 after 2 years of construction and developing their recipes. The Brewery and Taproom is located in Old Clearwater Bay on the north side of Downtown Clearwater. The taproom has up to 14 beers at a time, most of which are brewed on site.

There usually are a couple of guest taps where they serve up select beers from other area breweries.For those who aren’t beer fans, select wines are available by the glass as well as soft drinks. CBC is open daily – be sure to check their website for current hours of operation. Live music is often performed on the house stage, and every Wednesday night is Open Mic Night.

Columbia Restaurant Sand Key

The original Columbia Restaurant has been operated by the same family since they opened back in 1905. While the first restaurant was in Tampa, each additional Columbia location has been equally popular. The Columbia Restaurant Sand Key opened it’s doors in 1989 and has been pleasing the Clearwater dining crowds for over 30 years.

Food at Columbia is heavily by the Casimiro family’s Cuban heritage. Possibly the most famous item on the menu is their house salad, a unique and delicious combination of iceberg lettuce, swiss cheese, ham, tomato, olives and Romano cheese, tossed with Worchester sauce and their house garlic dressing.
